After the release of Maverick Sabre’s second album Innerstanding, it took 4 years for his latest album When I Wake Up to be released. Thankfully, after the success of his most recent album with beautiful songs such as Preach, Big Smoke and Drifting, Maverick Sabre is back with a new single Don’t You Know by Now.
Following recent features on DJ Zinc’s Through It All and Brady Watt’s PUSH ON THRU, fans will be happy to hear that Don’t You Know by Now is the lead track for his upcoming EP which is expected this summer.
The new song displays Maverick Sabres excellent vocals and versatility, with his smooth singing also accompanied with a verse rapping. The song is about a rough ending to a relationship where the lyrics describe the harsh reality of somebody going through a breakup.
“Wish that we could work things out, but sometimes it’s not meant to be, every time we fight and make up, I’m losing a part of me” describes the turmoil the person is going through. The perceptive story telling within this song along with the laid-back instrumental makes this a superb summer tune. Fans can only wait in anticipation of Maverick Sabres upcoming EP after being graced by this latest release.
